Tuscaloosa police arrested two black men on unrelated charges of sexually attacking juvenile females

John Charles Robinson, 41, was arrested after the victim's parents alerted police in November 2011 of the abuse. They initially reported that Robinson was sexually involved with their 11-year-old daughter. During the investigation, probable cause was found to arrest Robinson for one count of first-degree rape, one count of first-degree sodomy and one count of sexual abuse of a child under 12-years-old. Robinson was transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail and held on a bond of $150,000. Jonathan Jermaine Melton, 23, was arrested after surrendering at the Tuscaloosa Police Department on a second-degree rape warrant. Police said that the arrest stems from a case that was reported by the 12-year-old victim's parents in September 2011. Investigators presented the case to a grand jury, who issued the indictment warrant. Melton was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with a $10,000 bond. Officers in the Tuscaloosa Police Juvenile Division arrested the suspects.
