Between 1990 and 2010, Hispanics made up almost half (46.8%) of the population increase of the United States

While the overall US population increased by 60 million people, Hispanics made up 28 million of those additional residents. Hispanics make up half of US residents over 18 years of age with less than 8 years of school and they make up over one-third of those with less than a high school education.
