Medieval England was wealthier than many modern African nations

New research shows that medieval England boasted an average income that would be more than double the average per capita income of the world's poorest nations today such as Zaire, Burundi, Niger, Central African Republic, Comoro Islands, Togo, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Haiti, Chad, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan.
